Explain your “Industry First” Remote Starter with no need for an additional key.

With every crisis, there lies an opportunity. At Jose Gallardo Automotive Electronics, we saw a need and responded. Until now, immobilizer equipped vehicles required that the vehicle owner provide one of their keys if they desired to have the luxury of remote vehicle starting. That key would be embedded within the electronics of the remote starter module. The embedded key provides the necessary immobilizer code required to allow the vehicle to start. This system has a couple of disadvantages. The most obvious disadvantage is that you now have one fewer key to access your vehicle, which creates a very dangerous situation should, one of your only remaining keys become lost and you are without a spare. The other disadvantage is that a key to your vehicle is always in your car, which makes your vehicle very succeptible to thieves and completely defeats the immobilizer security feature. At Jose Gallardo Automotive Electronics we do not require one of your keys. Because of our joint agreement with Auto Key Maker; also an Affordable Motors Company, we are able to program a new immobilizer chip which becomes embedded within your remote starter. There will be no mechanical key left behind by the process. We are convinced that our customers will accpet no lower standard than having such peace of mind. Although a slightly higher cost may be transferred to the end user, and such a measure greatly shrinks our profit margin, we see no other way to serve our valued customers.

What transmitter distance do I have with the remotes that are provided with your systems?

Although there are many environmental factors that can reduce transmitter range distances, such as proximity to cellular towers and radio towers; with fresh remote batteries, range can be as great as 1000 feet.

Can you install a keyless entry system on a vehicle that does not have power door locks?

Yes. Power door lock actuators can be installed and interfaced with alarm system remotes so that doors will unlock when alarm is disarmed and doors will lock when alarm is armed. After remote starting my vehicle, how long will it run before shutting off? Is the run time able to be adjusted?

At the time of installation, you will be asked how long you want the vehicle to run. It is your option to have the vehicle shut down after 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes. Any future adjustments will require a short visit to meet with your installer to make necessary changes.

What are some of the symptoms that will indicate I am due to replace a weak remote transmitter battery?

Transmitter range seems to keep getting shorter and shorter. Vehicle will not remote start. Auto alarm will not arm or disarm from remote. Stop by our shop or your local Radio Shack to abtain a replacement battery for your remote.

What might cause an alarm to go off where there is no evidence of a break-in?

A vehicle with a weak car battery can cause an alarm system to trigger. If your car battery is getting old, this may be the first indication that you should have your battery tested, recharged or replaced. It is also possible that the shock sensor in your alarm needs a sensitivity adjustment. The shock sensor senses if a break-in is attempted. If the sensor experiences a shock of a predetermined magnitude, it will trigger the alarm to deter a thief. At times it may be necessary to adjust or reduce the sensitivity of this sensor to eliminate false alarms. Feel free to stop by, should you find this adjustment is necessary. The adjustment takes only a brief moment.

I lost one of my remotes, can I get another one?

Yes, Just stop by. A new remote will be added to the system. The old remote code will be cleared from the system to ensure your safety; in case it is in the wrong hands. Do not wait, come immediately, to secure your vehicle.
