Environmental Responsibility
At AutoKeyMaker, we understand that when there is a choice to be made about resources, we need to make decisions that favor the Earth and the environment. Our current measures are not huge changes, but small choices that make our footprint on the planet just a little lighter.
Our business cards were printed in a facility that utilizes environmentally friendly solvents and thinners. For all of our paper needs, we use 100% recycled paper because it uses 100% fewer trees, which means those trees can stay around and give more oxygen to the planet. All of our mailing is done on recycled paper and our photocopiers, printers and fax machines are filled only with recycled paper. It is not a monumental change, but it is one facility looking for a way to ease the burden on an already heavily burdened planet.
Additionally, we have a rule that instead of using paper towels in the service vehicle, we only allow rags that can be cleaned and re-used; which results in less paper waste and reduced landfill contribution. All scrap metal gets recycled, instead of just dumped into landfill.
All of these policies somewhat increase our overhead, and slightly shrink our profit margin, and we do everything we can to insure that the customer experiences no increase in the cost of services. These measures will never make us the most profitable, but with the environment to consider, we see no other way to go about business.
